Share / SavePart of the profits from a stay at the Asalem Seaside Hideway is applied to local environmental initiatives that aim to preserve and protect the natural resources. The last project supported saw 110 people collect 12 tons of rubbish from the three largest beaches of Ilha Grande.
We also invest in training, workshops and English tuition for our truly local staff. We also support a local community newspaper and all of our fruits are either hand-picked on the property or brought by the locals.
Asalem Seaside Hideaway is a magic place in Ilha Grande. Nestled between the nature and the ocean, we offer a truly nature connection and an unforgettable experience.
Our small accommodation is so blended with nature that we are almost imperceptible to those who look from the sea. Asalem is the ideal place to enjoy the sensation of living amongst Brazilian nature. Our neighbours range from tropical birds and monkeys to starfishes and turtles.
Dinner is offered in our restaurant where we use fresh fish brought by local fishermen straight to our waterside sundeck. We also offer fruit from our own trees, as well as herbs and vegetables for spectacular and healthy meals.
Close by Asalem Seaside Hideaway there are some stunning beaches where you can either walking or in one of our kayaks. But of course you’re welcome to do nothing at all and enjoy the view or listen to the sounds of nature.
